What is Faker Data Generator?

A faker data generator creates realistic dummy data for testing and development. Using the Faker.js library, it can generate names, emails, addresses, and more in multiple languages.

Multi-Language Support

Generate data in 8 different languages including English, Vietnamese, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, German, and Portuguese. Perfect for testing internationalization (i18n), validating UI with diverse character sets, and ensuring your app is ready for a global audience.

Privacy & Security

All data generation happens locally in your browser using Faker.js. Your data never leaves your device.

100% Client-Side

Disclaimer

This data is purely fictional and intended for testing purposes only. Any resemblance to real persons or entities is purely coincidental.

How to use the Faker Data

  1. 1

Choose a data type: names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, user IDs, passwords, paragraphs, articles or complete user profiles.

  2. 2

Pick the language. Names, addresses and phone formats follow the selected locale, so Vietnamese data looks Vietnamese and Japanese profiles include kanji and kana.

  3. 3

Set the quantity (and the word or paragraph count for text), then press Generate.

  4. 4

Copy the results as plain text, or use Copy JSON for profiles to paste them straight into a seed script, a mock API or a test fixture.

Practical examples

Seeding a development database

Generate 100 user profiles in JSON and feed them to your seed script so every developer works with realistic data instead of "test1", "test2".

UI and layout testing

Long German addresses, short Korean names and Thai text reveal truncation and wrapping bugs that English placeholder text never shows.

Design mockups

Fill Figma screens or a prototype with believable names, emails and paragraphs so stakeholders review the design, not the lorem ipsum.

Demos and screenshots

Use fake customers in sales demos, documentation and bug reports instead of real personal data, which keeps you on the safe side of privacy rules such as GDPR.

Frequently asked questions

Is the generated data real?+

No. Everything is produced by the open source Faker.js library from built-in word lists and patterns. Any match with a real person, address or phone number is coincidence.

Can I use the passwords for real accounts?+

No. They are meant as sample values for test data. For real accounts, use the Password Generator on this site, which relies on a cryptographically secure random source.

Are generated emails deliverable?+

They follow the correct format but are not real mailboxes, and many use reserved example domains. Do not send production emails to them; use a mail catcher such as Mailpit in testing.

Why use fake data instead of a copy of production?+

Copies of production data contain personal information that should not end up on laptops, in staging servers or in screenshots. Fake data has the same shape without the privacy risk.
