What is a QR Code Generator?

A QR code generator turns text, links, WiFi credentials, or contact details into a scannable 2D barcode. This tool supports URLs, WiFi access, vCard contacts, email, SMS, and plain text, with custom colors, margin, size, and a center logo.

Keep Your QR Code Scannable

Scan reliability depends on contrast, size, and error correction. Keep a dark foreground on a light background, leave a quiet zone around the code, and raise the error correction level when you add a logo.

  • • Print size: at least 2 x 2 cm for short links
  • • Use level H when placing a logo in the center

100% Secure

Nothing is uploaded. The QR code, including any logo you add, is rendered with JavaScript directly in your browser.

100% Local Privacy Pledge.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. 1

Choose what the QR code should contain: plain text, a URL, Wi-Fi login, an email, a phone number, an SMS or a vCard contact.

  2. 2

Fill in the fields. For Wi-Fi, enter the network name (SSID), password and encryption type exactly as configured on the router.

  3. 3

Adjust the design: size, margin, foreground and background colors, error correction level and an optional center logo. Use High error correction when you add a logo.

  4. 4

Download the code as PNG for documents and the web, or as SVG for print, where it stays sharp at any size. Scan it with your phone before printing.

Practical examples

Guest Wi-Fi

Print a Wi-Fi QR code for a café, office reception or rental apartment. Guests scan it and connect without typing a long password.

Business cards

A vCard QR code adds your name, phone, email, company and website to the contacts app in one scan, with no typing errors.

Menus and posters

Link a printed menu, flyer or event poster to a web page. Using your own short URL lets you change the destination later without reprinting.

Product packaging

Point to a manual, warranty registration or how-to video. SVG output keeps the code crisp on labels and large-format prints.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?+

No. The data is stored directly in the pattern, these are static QR codes. They work as long as the content is valid, for example as long as the linked website exists.

Which error correction level should I choose?+

Medium (15%) suits most uses. Choose Quartile or High (25 to 30%) if the code will carry a logo, be printed on rough material or risk getting scratched. Higher levels make the pattern denser.

Why does my QR code not scan?+

Common causes are low contrast (light code on light background), inverted colors, a margin that is too small, a logo that covers too much, or a print smaller than about 2 x 2 cm for a short URL.

Is the content I enter stored?+

No. QR codes are generated in your browser. Wi-Fi passwords and contact details are not sent to a server.
